Yesterday we were out at Jay and Lucy's for some good ol' Sunday dinner. As the kids finished eating they were heading outside to play. Toby and I let Jayce follow some of the kids out, so we could watch him and finish our food. Not long after he headed out he walked right into the path of metal teeter-totter swing that was flying with Rookie on it... He got hit in the forehead by the metal foot peg (the flat side) and flew backwards like 3 feet. Needless to say Toby and I bolted out the door and picked him up. His head instantly swelled up into a HUGE goose egg... He cried for maybe 5 minutes then wanted to go play again (he's a really tough kid). I was worried to death about it, so I had Toby call the emergency room and ask them if we should take him in... they just told us if it swells out he should be fine, just watch him!! He's fine now... other than the big bump and bruise on his head. He did get some nicknames out of it: Goose and Quasimodo.
Moral of the story: Swings are not always your friend, steer clear or they will hurt you!!

Poor little guy! I have never seen such a big bump on a little kids head before. Pretty sad....
That was a sad one for poor little Jayce. He is definitely a tough kid. We are all impressed with his "tough" skills.
Goose.....we hope you feel better today!!! What a tough kid!! That is seriously the biggest bump I have ever seen!! I bet he had a huge headache last night!!!

Poor little Goosey! The scary thing is that that picture doesn't do it any justice! It looked WAY worse than that in real life! What a little champ he is.

Did Jayce turn white as a ghost afterwards like Tate use to do when he got hurt? My kids do that, too. Poor kid-- glad he's got a tough streak in him, though. Kind of have to when you have so many cousins to keep up with! Kiss it better for me! Still haven't heard if you guys are coming this weekend to Utah or not? I'll try and get you called tomorrow-- take care!
YOWZAS! That looks like it hurt!!! Poor little dude :( I can't believe the size of that goose egg! That's so sad. Well hey, look at the bright side, we are now in town so to ease the pain a bit Jayce and Jordan can get together and play. They'll have so much fun he'll forget all about it. :) Okay, so maybe not, but we need to get together.
